    1. I learned this tip years ago, and still do it until this very day: after brushing your teeth, give your lips a light brushing too. This will gently remove dry, rough skin and keep your lips super smooth. To keep it moisturized, apply petroleum jelly on your lips!

  3. Hi Kelly. I just wanna ask, what goes best with a see through black cut out shoulder blouse, a shorts or pants? if shorts, what kind of fabric and what color? Thanks.

    1. Sorry for my super late reply! I haven’t been able to manage my comments in awhile. For a see-through black cut-out shoulder blouse, my suggestion is to wear it with white, pastels or brights (it doesn’t matter whether its shorts, pants or a skirt). But my suggestion is, if its a fitted top, make sure your bottom is also slim fitted so the proportion is just right. I can imagine this looking amazing for summer!

  4. hi :)) just want to ask if there is an online shopping website for charles and keith. i so love vintage-like shoes :)) we don’t have it here in dumaguete. thanks!

PS. YOU ARE SO SO SO PREEEETY AND SO SIMPLE! keep it up.

    1. Sorry, but Charles & Keith does not have an online shopping site. If they open one (hopefully in the near future) you’ll be one of the first to know. Thanks!

  5. Hi there! I really like your minimal make-up look, they are phenomenal …how do you do that? The way I see it , you’ve got hooded eyes ,w/c is close to mine(I mean I’ve been following a lot of make-up gurus like Wayne Goss but I think it would be better to get the tip from you) , you’ve manage to make them so lovely without the made-up look and please kindly indicate what brands your using or dupes of them. xoxo

    1. Hello! Thank you for appreciating my no-makeup look. To answer your question, most of the time I DONT wear makeup (at the most its just my fave BB cream–Pond’s Age Miracle BB+ Cream). But when I do, I like my eyes to look bigger than usual. This took a long time for me to learn, but I think it was my fave makeup artist, Bobby Carlos who was able to perfect it. What he would do is apply a dark colored matte neutral shadow (like dark brown or grey) on my lids tracing my orbital bone (sorry so technical) using a wet brush. He would then blend the outline with a dry brush, until the shadow looks soft (as opposed to a harsh thick line). After which, he would apply a lighter shade of eyeshadow (this could be shimmery) in the middle of the lid and again blend with the darker outline. He highlights my brow bone and inner corners of my eye and applies black kohl liner on the inner part of my lash line (for this you will have to gently lift your eyelids–its the part closest to your lashes that you want to line). Then he curls my lashes and applies two to three coats of mascara and maybe add natural-looking falsies. I hope this helps! 🙂

  6. Hello Ms Kelly! Is it necessary to combine Pond’s FLW or Pond’s AM Day Cream with Pond’s BB+Cream?
Like after applying Serum then Day Cream, after applying Day Cream then BB+Cream? Is it really that necessary?
Also, is it OK to apply face powder of pressed powder after Day Cream or BB+Cream?

    1. Thanks for your question! Since the Pond’s BB Plus Cream I use is already formulated with Age Miracle cream, I skip the Day Cream and Serum. The beauty of the BB cream is that it acts as a skincare/moisturizer, makeup and sunscreen in one, so you can forego all the other steps in the morning. And yes, its definitely okay to use pressed or loose powder over your BB cream to set it. I also like to do that, especially on a hot day.

  7. Hello Ms. kelly! I just want to ask where do you usually shop for clothes and shoes? I love your style, you always look fresh and fab! 🙂

    1. Thank you! 🙂 I’m glad you like my style. When shopping for clothes I really pay attention to quality and fit, and thankfully we can now get these at affordable prices at our fave high street brands. I shop everywhere. From big brands like H & M, Zara, Guess, Forever21, Mango and Cotton On, to local brands like Kashieca, Tango and Bench. I get most of my accessories from Charles & Keith, Thomas Sabo and Seven Friday (for watches). And I shop at local online stores like http://www.pormada.com. But I try not to limit myself to these brands, I always keep an eye out for stylish and versatile pieces to add to my wardrobe. I’m a big window-shopper. 🙂

  8. hi ms. kelly!ask lng po sana ako kung ano po ung pwede nyong maerecommend na brand and shade ng pressed powder.im morena po kc & w/ my dark skin-tone hirap po akong makahanap ng shade na babagay sa akin since most po na available sa market are too light for me.any reply would be greatly appreciated.tnx

    1. Hello Daisy! How timely, I just visited the makeup store: Bobbi Brown today and I found that they carry a wide range of shades for foundation, powder and concealer. They have a lot of choices for dark skin, in beautiful warm tones. I think you’d be able to find the right shade for you there. Another brand that will surely carry your shade: MAC. I think these brands are so worth the money because you’ll use them until they’re finished, instead of buying from more affordable ones that don’t get your color right. 🙂

  9. Hi Kelly, im really interested to buy the isla leticia swimwear but i can’t find them on the internet. do you think they sell online or if i can purchase and send it here in Cebu?

    1. To order your very own Isla Leticia swimsuit, email: contact@islaleticia, or text 0917 8000119. You may also follow them on Instagram: @islaleticia. As of now, they still don’t have an online store but when they do Ill be sure to announce it on my blog. 🙂

  10. Hello Miss kelly! I’m Having a hard time to choose a hair color and a new haircut. I want kasi a new image. palagi nalang kasing slash yung style ng hair ko..would you mind to help me po? thank you very much.

    1. Hello Darling! Sorry I didn’t see your comment!! I’ll answer this on my column in Philippine Daily Inquirer so I can give a nice long answer with lots of suggestions. Thank you for leaving a comment!!! 🙂

    1. Oh my! That is so sad naman. There must be a glitch in the system! I will be sure to check out your blog to view your entries. Keep sending your photos! 🙂

      1. Goodness, I am relieved that you would actually look and see them! I hope it brightens your days too a little bit more!

        Love,

        Erika

  11. Hi Ms. Kelly 🙂 You’re very beautiful. Your skin is so good and youthful looking. I hope I have the same skin as yours. lol. And I super duper love your eyebrows! ^.^

I just wanna share my skin dilemma. I am 22 years old and I have large pores, oily skin and I notice that my face is aging. Is it okay to use anti-aging products already?

Can you recommend products for my large pores, and oily skin and aging skin? huhu.

    thanks!

    1. Hello Luzee! Thanks so much for the kind words. I really try my best to take care of my skin, though I have to say, its far from perfect. I can super relate to your problem, as I have combination skin and it turns erratic when the weather changes. As you know, I have a column for the Philippine Daily Inquirer and someone actually sent a similar question about oily skin and large pores. I thought that maybe you can benefit from what I wrote as I gave tips on how to care for oily skin. You may read the article here:

      http://lifestyle.inquirer.net/106015/six-ways-to-treat-open-pores-and-oily-skin

Oh and to answer your question, nope its not too soon to start on an anti-aging regimen. You are no longer in your teen years. Its best to start taking care of your skin as early as now. An ounce of prevention, after all is better than a pound of cure. But don’t worry, you are far from aging 😉 — you’re still very young and shouldn’t worry as much about it. But better start applying a face cream/serum and eye cream every night before going to bed!

      Good luck! 🙂

      Kelly

  12. Hi Ms,Kelly
Happy Anniv!!MAy i ask po yun lashes used on your wedding what brand po?you were beautiful on your wedding..who is your makeup artist..thank u and godbless

    1. Hello Chrissy! Thank you for the greet! If I’m not mistaken, the lashes are from Ardell. My makeup artist was Bobby Carlos–he did an amazing job. I love my makeup! 🙂

  13. Good Day Ms. Kelly,
I’m Charmaine, 22 years old, AB Psychology graduate from DLSU-D and currently employed at Prestigious company. You’re my fashion icon. Now, I’m looking for a modeling agency because I want to become a print ad model, but still, I’m confused because my height is only 5’2″. But still, I want to attend a VTR. I have a fair complexion and I already have a background in ramp modeling. Can you help me about this? Thanks.

    1. Hi Charmaine! When it comes to being a commercial model, height doesn’t necessarily matter. This shouldn’t stop you from going to castings or VTRs, because you can get booked based on what look the client/company is looking for. If you have that certain look, then you most likely will get the job. My advice is to keep trying! Join a reputable modeling agency so they can find you good jobs (please keep in mind that you do have the right to say no to certain things–its best to be clear on what you can or cannot do). Check out Elan, Mercator, and/or Elite–you can find their information online.

      Good luck!

  14. Hi, Ms. Kelly
You’re so beautiful in your dress last April in Samsung Galaxy S4 Launch. The combination of Gold top and a white skirt is perfect.

  15. Hi Kelly, i’d like to know if you paid additional taxes and duties when you purchased triangl swimwear online. I really love their collection and am interested to buy a pair for my self. Hope to hear from you.

    Thanks! 🙂

    1. Oh that’s right. I think I had to pay an additional P500 for taxes, if my memory serves me right. To be sure, go to their site and shoot them an email. They might be able to provide you with the courier so you can call them to find out how much extra you should set aside for taxes/duties. 🙂

    1. Hello! Well, as much as possible I try to eat healthy. More veggies and fruits and less canned and instant food. I also do Pilates 3x a week and walk my dog Lily as much as I can (almost everyday). There are really no shortcuts or quick fixes when it comes to being healthy I guess. 🙂 But kaya yan! Don’t give up–you can do it if you put your mind to it. Think more for your health and not necessarily for looking thinner. It all follows naman eh.

  16. Hello Kelly, I am looking for good gluthathione injections from many days, Can you suggest me any good ones. Thanks 🙂

    1. I actually went to a dermatologist for this. Better if it comes from them and they will be the ones to administer injection. I don’t suggest you do this on your own. 🙂

  17. hello miss kelly!!can you recommend a good product that can whiten dark knees and elbows?thanks in advance!

  18. Hello Ms. Kelly I’d like to know what are your type 5 favorite shades of lipsticks and why~ thanks! I like your eyes btw~

    1. My five favorite lipstick shades are:
      1. MAC Honeylove
      2. MAC Russian Red
      3. Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Canotier
      4. Bobbi Brown Creamy Matte Lip Color in Red Carpet
      5. MAC Show Orchid

  19. Hi Kelly! I’m a marketing professional and I guess you know that most marketing jobs require wearing make-up on most days. But I’m the type who’s really verrryy lazy on putting something on my face. I’m fine with just keeping my face clean and moisturized but I know that I need to keep a certain image and I should be presentable enough. Plus, wearing make up takes a lot of time so if there’s a shortcut in prepping up my face, that would be great. Do you have any recommendations for me?

  20. Hi Kelly,

Can you suggest a cafe or resto along ortigas/pasig that can accommodate a wedding reception preferably breakfast for 150 pax. We are looking for a non traditional reception and hopefully not ot pricey.

    Thanks!

  21. Greetings Ms. Kelly!

I’m Charmaine Maravilla and I’m inviting you to visit our Wellworth Department Store, a department store that’s well worth it, in Fairview Terraces Mall. I ensure you that you will enjoy your quality time on quality shopping. Thank you.

  23. hi ms. kelly misa, i really do love the way you dress up, very simple yet classy. That’s why i run over you to get some piece of advice. We will be having our christmas party but it will be held on daytime (cocktail party) that’s why i chose to wear a white lace dress. It was a round neck, sleeveless and fitted dress above the knee. i just want to ask on what shoes should i wear that would match the dress? should i wear a pumps or a boots? and what color? I don’t know if those were good choices. I am just worried not to be overdressed since the party is daytime. Please help.. Thanks a lot ❤️

    1. Hello Diane! Thank you for visiting my blog and for trusting me with style advice. How exciting! Dressing up for special occasions like christmas parties is really a lot of fun. Its good you’re preparing for it as early as now. I actually have a similar dress to what you described, and I’ve worn it a couple of times to events and parties (both day and night). For day dressing, I suggest you pair the dress with a low pointy pumps in nude or blush (light pink). This keeps it suitable for a day event but is still polished and pretty. Or you can wear wedge sandals in white or nude if you want to add height (this is perfect if you’re petite). Another suggestion is to take photos of your entire outfit and judge from there. If you feel the dress and shoes don’t go together, you’re probably right. You have to feel confident wearing your outfit–thats what counts! Good luck! 🙂

      1. hi ms. kelly 😊 thank you very much for the advice.. i became more excited to wear the shoes that you advice ❤️

Thank you very much again for the help.. Godbless.. 😄

  24. Hi Kelly! Any tips on shaving the legs? (I’ve sadly developed ingrown hair 😦 ) and do you recommend anything different than shaving?

  25. do prestige brand sells authentic perfumes ??? just wanted to make sure if they are really legit 🙂 i hope you can answer my question

  26. Hello Ms Kelly! I gave birth 3 months ago. I’m in this phase wherein I’m not as big as when I was pregnant but not yet back in shape. And, I’m exclusively breastfeeding. Which bring me to my current issue– I will be attending my sis-in-law’s (Chinese) engagement party at the end of the month and I don’t have anything to wear! Please help! Are there nice nursing outfits that are not too casual? Or are there styles out there that I can use also when I need to breastfeed? Any ideas? Thank you so much!!!

    1. Hello there Kim! Thank you for going out of your way to ask me this question. I super feel ya! I was so clueless too as to where to shop after giving birth, I ended up wearing the same clothes over and over. There aren’t so many choices for us nursing mamas, unfortunately. But along the way I found some nice brands that can make you look dressed and presentable. Here are the two local brands that I depend on for nursing/breastfeeding friendly clothes: ELIN (www.elin.ph) and PEARL CLOTHING (www.pearlclothing.ph). Other tips: get separate (but matching) pieces and wear them together. This is so you can just lift your top. But best if you have a nice nursing cover that goes all the way around (I use the Madison scarf of Elin coz its like a shirt, it covers even the back). Good luck! Hope this helps!

      Kelly

      1. Hi Kelly! Thank you so much for replying to my query so soon! And thank you for your suggestions! I’ll try elin and pearl clothing then. 🙂
You’re right about separates– I just wear a tank top underneath a Lois or stretchy blouse then just lift the blouse to feed. But I usually do this with shorts or jeans and have not tried this at parties 🙂 both my firstborn (now 6) and the new baby don’t like the bottle and nursing cover!
        Thanks again:)

        Kim

      2. You’re welcome! I never used the bottle on Tristan so he still directly latches. 🙂 Sooooo I feel ya! Super same set of challenges. But in time you will find ways! Good luck!

        Kelly
